 The postholder may be responsible for the deployment and supervision of the work of teaching assistants relevant to their responsibilities

 

The Governors of Wykeham Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly effective class teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning and making a positive difference to children’s lives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the learning, progress and wellbeing of all pupils in their class, maintaining high expectations for achievement, behaviour and conduct. They will create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment where pupils are treated with dignity and respect and are supported to achieve their full potential. The role requires effective collaboration with colleagues, parents/carers, governors and external agencies, working in partnership to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
